So far my technician has been working contract labor, but I want to make some changes. Is there a cut off on how long you can keep someone on contract? A dollar amount? and is there a benefit or downside? |

There's an old saying: "he who represents himself in a legal matter has a FOOL for a client!" Each state has different laws governing the employer-employee relationship. You need to know what yours are before you can begin to consider an answer to your question. Consult a lawyer who is a practitioner of employment law in your jurisdiction. 'Nuff said.
