I have some sad news to share. A veteran of the Interiorscape industry, Steve Reiss from Botanic Decors and Leaf-tek products passed away on the 10th of February after a hard fought battle with cancer. He told me he was not afraid of dying, but was sad to have to leave Barbara. He was such a character and will be missed by many after 39 years in the business. His businesses will continue on in Barbara's capable hands per his Dream.
I met Steve 13 years ago at Calscape in San Francisco, he has been a mentor and Friend. I have subcontracted with him for most of these years and will continue to do so. He taught me so much with such an openness not found in most industries. I am glad to have known him. HIs family will be having a private memorial for him with his ashes spread in a few places. |
