Does anyone use these when acquiring new clients to determine what plants they would like best? Or, is it a dumb idea? I'm putting together a professional portfolio and I'm thinking of things to put in it. Any suggestions? I've already included my resume, letter from the dean saying I've made the presidents list, copies of PowerPoint slides about the benefits of interior plants, etc. Most of the other students are including landscape designs, but I haven't taken any of the design classes yet. So, I'm trying to think of other things I can include in mine. Thanks.

Well, how about you try out your resume on us and we can comment with suggestions? If your work experience is very limited in the field, you'll need to show evidence of your interest and passion for the trade in other ways. Give it a try here and we'll see if we can all help you brainstorm. That's why we're here!

Angelo, PLANET has Plant Brochures for your clients to look at. They have some really nice pics in them. I believe that there are 2 brochures to choose from. There are others out there but they tend to be more expensive. PLANET 800-395-2522 ask for publications or www.landcarenetwork.org to their website to buy online. I'm not sure why you would give them your resume as you are not applying for a job there...you are trying to get them as a client. Hope this helps. |

I think if you convert it to a PDF file, you can upload it here by clicking on the "Image" button, but I'm not sure...try it.
